Dhardo Rimpoche

This detailed piece of stained glass honours the Ven Dhardo Rimpoche whose life and teaching inspired this work.

It is made up almost entirely of painted glass, some pieces requiring as many as seven firings.

Exiled like so many of his fellow countrymen from Tibet, Dhardo Rimpoche lived in Kalimpong, India where he worked for the welfare of the refugee community running a school for Tibetan children to maintain their cultural heritage.
